Our client is a consulting firm in Boston that is operating on a hybrid schedule: 2 days in the office, 3 days of remote flexibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review a variety of contacts (including NDAs, Service Agreements, Subcontracting Agreements, Sale and Purchase Agreements) mostly based on our defined standards
- Perform risk assessments of proposed contractual terms and conditions, and develop recommendations to minimize their potential risk for the company, while smoothing and adding value to the business activities
- Act as a trusted advisor to the business on all contractual matters, providing sound legal advice
- Identify and highlight relevant contractual risks and deviations from the corporate position for the management to make decisions
- Identify and highlight the need to review contractual positions or to develop new alternate positions for your area of responsibility
- Train and provide guidance to business personnel on contracting policies and procedures
- Help build and improve legal department processes
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 5+ years of experience as a contract manager, in a professional services environment
- A./B.S. with excellent academic credentials or relevant experience
- Legal experience is a plus
